Peel, core, and slice apples. The amount of apples you need will determine on variety and size of the apples.
Melt butter in a medium to large skillet on medium-high heat. Add apples, flour, honey, and maple syrup. Stir until the mixture begins to thicken, about five minutes.
Remove from heat. Add cinnamon and apple pie spice.
Add pie crust to a greased pie pan. Add filling. Top with brown coconut sugar (or brown sugar) for an optional garnish. Top with second pie crust if desired. Bake at 350℉ for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden brown.
